The Opportunity
Esquire House was conceived as a physical extension of Esquire Magazine’s editorial voice, transforming high end residences into immersive environments that embodied the lifestyle of the modern gentleman. Located in the Hollywood Hills in 2008 and Soho in 2009, the spaces brought together luxury brands, world class designers, and cultural tastemakers to create an experiential platform that blended editorial storytelling, design, and entertainment. The challenge was to produce a fully realized environment that felt authentic to the magazine’s perspective while serving as a venue for media events, brand partnerships, cultural programming, and national press coverage.
The Approach
Working with Esquire’s editorial and partnership teams, we developed and produced immersive residential environments that paired major advertisers with leading interior designers to create fully realized rooms reflecting each brand’s identity without overt branding. The spaces functioned simultaneously as editorial content, event venue, and experiential platform, hosting private concerts, charity events, VIP gatherings, and media productions. Through careful coordination of designers, brand partners, fabricators, talent, and production teams, the environments translated Esquire’s voice into physical form while enabling luxury partners to engage audiences through design, storytelling, and live cultural programming.
The Takeaway
Esquire House became one of the magazine’s most recognizable experiential platforms, demonstrating how editorial brands can extend their voice beyond print and into immersive real world environments. By combining luxury design, cultural programming, and strategic brand partnerships, the project created a powerful intersection of media, lifestyle, and experience, generating national attention and reinforcing Esquire’s position at the center of modern luxury culture.
